Welcoming Afghan Refugees

As the crisis in Afghanistan continues to rapidly deteriorate, CCCNMO is committed to serving Afghan refugees as they arrive in our state. Will you join us?

How You Can Help Afghan Refugees

For more than 40 years, the Diocese of Jefferson City and Catholic Charities have been welcoming refugees from around the world to mid-Missouri.

Catholic Charities Refugee Services is preparing to receive Afghan refugees in the coming weeks following the Taliban takeover.

As the only local resettlement agency in central Missouri, Catholic Charities is seeking the support of community members in preparation for their arrival.

Here’s how you can partner with Catholic Charities Refugee Services in preparation for the arrival of Afghan refugees.

Donation of funds, household items, and food

  • Donate online to support CCCNMO's work in the resettlement of individuals and families.
  • Visit our Amazon Wishlist to purchase items that refugees will need as they settle into their new homes.
  • Gift Cards from retailers like Walmart, Target, and Aldi's are always welcome.  They can be dropped off at our offices or mailed to 916 Bernadette Drive, Columbia, MO 65203.
