CCCNMO's Nutrition Education program will help participants learn how to incorporate healthy cooking skills and new food knowledge into their lifestyles. This program offers nutrition support to ensure participants receive personalized guidance on their dietary needs. Classes are led by Catholic Charities staff using the Healthy for Life program created by the American Heart Association & Aramark.

This initiative places trained facilitators in crucial community locations to teach enrollees how to take and track their blood pressure accurately, set health goals, and meet them by meeting regularly. The Mid-MO SMBP Program is developing under a task force of healthcare professionals, advisors, and community leaders in public health across both Boone and Cole counties.

The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP, or Senior Food Boxes) works to improve the health of low-income persons at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diets with healthy and nutritious USDA food. Through our partnership with The Food Bank of Central and Northeast Missouri and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Catholic Charities distributes Senior boxes to qualifying residents in Cole and Howard County.
