DECEMBER 28, 2022 UPDATE:
Watch our Facebook Live video above (or access it on Facebook by clicking here). Director of Refugee Services, Ken Palermo, joined Sr. Director of Communications, Ashley Wiskirchen, and Sr. Director of Development, Tori Stepanek, to share how Catholic Charities will continue services amidst the temporary closure of our Columbia offices at 1240 E. Brown School Road due to severe water damage sustained over the holiday break.
DECEMBER 26, 2022
We at Catholic Charities have been following the national headlines of frigid temperatures and have seen the devastating effects of this cold snap on people across the nation. Unfortunately, our Columbia office was not immune to this weather, as the below-freezing temperatures over the holiday break caused severe water damage at our 1240 E. Brown School Road location.
Because our office in Columbia is not currently safe to access – with assessment and repairs predicted to take several weeks – we are temporarily closing that location. We will share updates as we move through the restoration process.
We know this is a challenge and a significant setback for our Columbia staff, who work very hard to provide high-quality care for our clients. We face it together as an agency, with confidence in our ability to work as a team. We are grateful for our employees’ safety and the ability to continue our services remotely to the greatest degree possible.
Please follow us on social media or visit our website at cccnmo.diojeffcity.org for updates. We intend to share progress and communicate progress as timely as possible. If you have questions or concerns related to this closure or need to connect with a member of our staff, please call us at 573-635-7719 or email Ashley Wiskirchen at awiskirchen@cccnmo.org, who can direct inquiries as needed.
